It all began with two people with a passion for travelling in Latin America and their desire to share the magic of their continent with their friends and other people.

Both had years of experience working in international adventure companies that operate in Latin America and throughout the world. With their academic background in science and adventure and ecotourism they saw the impact of tourism on the natural and cultural heritage. They agreed things could be done better and felt the desire to work together for a sustainable tourism. Full of passion they organized their first trip.

They wanted to offer a truly authentic travel journey, the opportunity to explore and to encounter nature and culture on a deeply personal level.

They succeeded. It quickly turned into an unforgettable journey for many people. People returned and began to share their exceptional travel experience with friends. The word was out.

To meet the growing demand for more trips to new destinations, Vamos Expeditions was founded five years ago on the same core principles and values that guided that first trip.

Since then, Vamos Expeditions has grown and is proud to have earned the status of preferred travel supplier with leading universities around the world, including Harvard Business School amongst others.
