I thought the introduction to the porters was very nice, and also other occasions I made contact with “locals”. “My trip to Peru with Vamos Expeditions has been one of my best travel experiences ever. I was truly impressed how well everything was arranged. They were able to perfectly organize a trip to Lima, Cusco, Sacred Valley and Macchu Pichu for a group of 40 highly demanding Harvard business school students. It was a pleasure to experience Peru with Annelies and Daniel who integrate well with the group and were able to adjust the program to our tastes without going through a routine of activities. I feel like we experienced a highly personalized trip with many local insights and not at all a standard trip that is organized every week.
I can only recommend the full Inca Trail hike to everyone interested. It is a truly amazing and challenging experience. VAMOS selected very experienced guides for our hike and we were well taken care while being in the middle of the Andes. It felt almost unreal being woken up (very early) in the morning and being handed hot coffee or tea into the sleeping tent, or having a full 3-course dinner at a table on a camp site at 3,500m.
A further example of the flexibility of Vamos Expeditions was their ability to change their plans when the hiking part of our group arrived a day earlier than expected at Macchu Pichu. It was amazing to see how quickly we all had hotel rooms and could all reunite over some nice cold beers.
I would highly reccommend a trip to Peru to anyone who is interested in visiting a vibrant city, exploring historical sites and admiring the natural beauty of the Andes. To see Peru I do not think that we could have had a better organizer than VAMOS EXPEDITIONS. Thank you so much for this amazing trip!”
